Guests at the Merit Club

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Merit Club.  The moment you step foot on the property and you are greeted by our friendly staff, you will know you have come to a very special venue.  The Merit Club Staff prides itself in the service that is provided to our members and their guests.  The Club ‘s mission statement provides for the staff to stop at nothing to make sure your time spent at the Club is a remarkable experience.

Please note upon entering the grounds at the Merit Club does not have a formal valet service but a staff member will be in the parking lot awaiting your arrival.  the bag drop is located at the south end of the clubhouse just passed the main entrance overhang.  Your personal belongings (golf clubs/duffels) will be collected at the bag drop.  After you park your car, a bag staff member will pick you up and take you to the clubhouse.

Upon the entering the clubhouse through the golf entrance door you will directed to your appropriate locker room.  The Men’s Locker Room will be to your left on the south side of the building and the Women’s Locker Room will be to your right just north of the Golf Shop.   Once in the locker room you will be shown to your locker for the day.  While you are becoming organized a bag staff member will place your clubs on a golf cart in the cart staging area (opposite the parking lot) so you may use our incredible practice facility prior to playing or your host’s arrival.

In-between the Locker Rooms you will locate the Golf Shop.  The Golf Shop is considered the main hub on property and will provide additional assistance you may require.

DRESS CODE

 

Golf Course/Driving Range

 

Proper attire is required on the golf course and the driving range at all times.  Members are expected to ensure that their guests and family members adhere to these rules.  The General Manager reserves the right to deny anyone access to the golf course that is improperly dressed.

 

Men:  Proper attire for men includes slacks, golf shorts no shorter than bermuda length, golf shirts with collars and sleeves. Golf shirts designed with crew neck collars are permitted.  Fitness or workout attire is not acceptable. Shirts are to be tucked in at all times.  Hats must be worn as designed with the bills to the front.

 

Women: may wear golf shorts, Capri pants and golf skirts. Shirts must have either a collar or sleeves (no tank tops).  Women’s blouses or shirts must be tucked in at the waist unless they are designed to be worn untucked.  All shirts are to extend below the waistband with no exposed midriff.  Short shorts or short skirts will not be allowed.

 

Children must abide by the men’s and women’s dress codes. Soft spikes or other acceptable golf footwear must be worn at all times during play or practice.

 

Clubhouse

 

Gentlemen are requested to remove their hats in the Clubhouse and when seated in the grill room.  Members are expected to ensure that their guests and family members adhere to these rules. The General Manager reserves the right to deny anyone access to the clubhouse that is improperly dressed.

 

Tasteful Casual attire may be worn throughout the Clubhouse unless otherwise stated by a particular club function.  Casual attire includes long or short sleeve collared sport shirts, sweaters, dress shirts, slacks, dress shorts, skirts, including non-frayed and non-tattered tasteful dress denim for Men and Women. No holes or tears are permitted whether they are natural in occurrence or machine made.  Flip flops are not considered proper footwear for Men in the Grill room.

Cell phone usage at the Merit Club

Cell phones may not be used to make or receive phone calls in the clubhouse or on the practice facility. Telephones are available throughout the clubhouse for your use. Please keep your smartphone on silent or vibrate mode while in the clubhouse. Limited use of cell phones is allowed for the “passive” purpose of email, internet access, text messaging and video/camera only.
