Merit is such a special place. We have a wonderful group of women who have so much fun playing golf together. With all our busy schedules, it’s important that we have the flexibility to play any time, any day. We have also been having a great time golfing and dining with our spouses in the growing number of couples' events. Merit is so much more than a place to play golf; it’s a place to make friends.

The Merit Club course is amazing, and I truly look forward to playing each and every round. And I say that after having played more than 2,000 rounds in my 23 years of membership. The Merit Club attracts people who are naturally friendly to others and respectful of the game of golf. It’s been said that people are fortunate to have had even a couple of true friends over their lifetime. Membership at The Merit Club has enabled me to set that “friendship bar” much higher!

I recently relocated to the Chicago area and decided to join the Merit Club and buy a home on the property adjacent to the course. I knew the golf experience would be outstanding. The practice facility, clubhouse, caddie program and opportunity to play and walk an outstanding course was everything I could have dreamed of and more. What I didn’t expect was how the members would impact my transition to a new city. What makes the Merit Club so special are the people it attracts and who form its membership. I was quickly able to form new friendships and connections through the emphasis the club puts on optimizing your experience. After just several years, I’m always able to find a great group to play a round with. I’ve established great friendships that have made our transition to a new city easier than I ever could’ve imagined. My golf game has even improved. If you love golf and love good people, I can’t think of a better experience than the Merit Club. It has changed my life in so many unexpected ways and I’m so grateful!
